Start the year with forty-eight consecutive hours of video game speedruns. It may be early 2015, but it’s the end of the world, and as such the event will end with none other than The Legend of Zelda: The Mask of Majora. The event kicks off the new bugmaniacmarc stream and will prepare viewers for another straight week of games as Awesome Games Done Quick (AGDQ) begins on January 4, at the end of that stream.

Taking a clue of The Legend of Zelda: The Mask of MajoraThe dawn of the second day: 48 hours left will last 48 hours straight until it is completed. It was also the game played to end the event. Journey will be the first game to launch the stream, at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 2. After that, the stream will run straight to the end, showing a number of speedruns as well as multiplayer games to mix it up.

The program includes old school games, newer games, and the random forgotten games in between. Besides the speedruns, the stream will also feature multiplayer games as well as the random mystery game. After Journey, the flow will have Way of the Samurai, Shadow of the colossus, Super mario world (Cooperative), Starcraft 2, Mario kart 8 and then end the night with Guitar Hero 3.

Once it’s Saturday, the stream will feature Convicted: Criminal origins, before turning into a cemetery quarter, which should be full of surprises. The morning will feature an array of Mario sports games before Wolt demonstrates the strategy of Fire emblem (Game Boy Advance). Once this is completed, Master Koga will perform Knight Shovel before moving on to the classic Super Nintendo Megaman X. The stream will turn into a bugmanicmarc, Once a Bug Catcher… event before the last mystery game of the evening.

Late night Saturday, early Sunday will feature Super amazing wagon adventure, 20 games to play with your friends and Horror Games with Holland. The Legend of Zelda: The Mask of Majora will close the event, but before that will be a The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time fishing contest.

Officially hosted by bugmaniacmarc on its new twitch channel, the event is hosted by members of the Spokane Pokemon Federation, but is open to anyone who wishes to be a part of the event.

With so many people attending the event, the commentators and runners will change often. This event is a community event that can only happen through the efforts of all the different contributors. The cat is encouraged. It’s not a tight stream with tons of rules and regulations, it’s the gathering of friends to stream great games and bring in the New Year. With only one day between the end of 2014 and the end of the world, Dawn of the Second Day kicks off on January 2 and lasts 48 straight hours.
