Preston’s Stream to the Street is happening this weekend

A two-night streaming event will see live music from Preston’s bands being broadcast online.

Stream to the Street is organized by UK Media and Events with funding from Preston City Council.

The event raises funds for the local music and mental health charity We are Hummingbird.

Taking place this weekend at Harris, the lineup for Friday, October 16 includes David Shurr, Ivan Campo, Tilterwheel and Ginnel.

On Saturday (October 17), Reverie, The Amber List, Steve McCartney and Saraban will perform live.

Streaming will begin at 6 p.m. and end at 9.45 p.m. on both nights.

Councilor Peter Kelly, Cabinet Member for Culture and Recreation, said: “This is a great opportunity to support local groups at a time when it is difficult to organize events and live performances.

“We are grateful to UK Media and Events for delivering the live broadcasts and hope everyone can enjoy the performances from the safety of their homes. “
