The Awesome Games Done Quick charity marathon returns on Sunday, offering a full week of video game speedruns. Once again, this year’s donations will go to the Prevent Cancer Foundation. Games Done Quick typically holds two events each year, each of which raises millions for charity: Last year the Done Quick Summer Games raised $ 2.8 million for Doctors Without Borders .
If you’re not familiar with Awesome Games Done Quick, it’s easy to explain: Exceptionally skilled video game players will play their favorite games. very fast, sometimes using glitches or feats to move around worlds faster than is usually possible. The program runs non-stop for seven full days, so there are a ton of video games to watch, including plenty of new titles, like Chicory: a colorful tale, The door of death, and Kena: Bridge of Spirits.
Of course, the speedrunners attending the event will also feature many classic titles – Halo: combat has evolved, Tied to the earth, and Diddy Kong Racing.
