Head coach Tommy Lloyd is back for his second season with the Arizona Wildcats as they bring in a very different team than a season ago. Last year, the team was 33-4 overall and a number one seed in the NCAA Tournament where they lost in the third round. They enter this season without last season’s leading scorer, Bennedict Mathurin, who was drafted sixth overall from the Indiana Pacers, as well as Christian Koloko and Dalen Terry, who were also among the top 33 picks in the NBA Draft. Azuolas Tubelis and Kerr Kriisa take over as leaders starting in the red-blue game today.

The Wildcats are looking to recapture the highs of last season when they won the Pac-12 championship and dominated the conference:
Kriisa returns as the team leader after a strong season last year where he averaged 9.7 points, 4.7 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game on the perimeter. He also had a terrific summer where he played for Estonia and averaged 10.8 points and 5.8 assists per game, showing no fear of playing against NBA stars.
The incoming freshman is expected to have a big impact on the depth of the team with the arrival of two major talents.
Kylan Boswell is the 18th overall rookie and fourth point guard who brings toughness defensively and is another steady guard to play with Kriisa. He is joined by Dylan Anderson, a great center who should make an impact from day one.
