Top Gun: Maverick was one of the biggest blockbusters of the year, but if you haven’t had time to hit the movies, the next best option is streaming.
Unfortunately, for fans of the Tom Cruise-led franchise, they’ll have to wait a while longer before it’s available for free from home. Currently, the hit title is viewable if purchased digitally on platforms such as Prime Video, Vudu, and Google Play, where it is currently listed for $19.99.
As for renting the movie at a lower rate, like the $5 fee most viewers pay for a new on-demand movie, it’s unclear when Top Gun: Maverick will be available as such. And for viewers who want to stream the film on Paramount+, where it will settle at some point, they’ll have to wait a little longer.
Paramount+ did not reveal when Top Gun: Maverick will be available to stream on the platform, but for those who aren’t already subscribed to the streamer, there’s a $5 monthly minimum to subscribe beyond the one-week free trial.
Unlike its predecessors, Top Gun: Maverick did not come to Paramount+ after 45 days in theaters, in part due to its box office success. It’ll be a waiting game until Paramount+ adds the title to its library, but rest assured, subscribers shouldn’t have to pay any additional fees to access the film.
Stay tuned for more details on Top Gun: Maverickand catch it on Prime Video, Vudu, and Google Play for $19.99 anytime.
